Mining tool was easy to use and provided an efficient method for getting a
quick start on a new staffing requirement. We used the tool in an ASP
mode which did not require any investment in hardware or IT support.
When a new job requirement was identified we would email our account
manager a brief job summary and a list of 5 key words that we would expect
to find in a qualified candidate’s resume. The next morning we would
run a small application called Mail Manager that would input all of the
newly captured resumes and sort them by keywords matched. This
enabled our recruiters to quickly focus on candidates most likely to match
our open job requirements. We were able to identify and interview
several very good candidates as a result of using this application.
An additional benefit was the ability to run ad hoc search queries on
all of the candidate resumes in our CyberSpace database by using the Finder
Tool. This search tool worked very quickly.
